Hi, I’m Lindsay — a little about my journey…

I went to therapy for the first time when I was 9 years old and learned a simple, beautiful truth: Sometimes we carry secret prayers in our hearts. When someone kind and patient creates a safe space for voices of those hidden prayers to emerge, the people who love you will listen—and answer them.

I began studying Psychology at the age of 17 and earned my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. At 25 I began Somatic Experiencing therapy with Karen Adler in Chicago, deepening my knowledge of how the body holds and releases trauma.

In 2016, I completed a Masters in Art Therapy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and became a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist supporting children, adults, couples, and families in Chicago and Hinsdale IL.

My clinical work has been rooted in trauma-informed care, with ongoing training in Somatic Therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, and Clinical Neuropsychology.

In 2020, I transitioned to seeing clients remotely and left the U.S. to embark on a spiritual quest. This path led me deeper into the study of relationships, including training in the Gottman Method. I moved to Oaxaca and Mexico City and began remote training with Sean Brannan in Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy.

By 2021, I was living in Guatemala exploring Ayahuasca and Psilocybin Mushroom, studying Ashtanga Yoga, and teaching Meditation and Yin Yoga at a retreat center high in the mountains of Lake Atitlan. I moved to Tulum MX where I studied Kundalini Yoga and Breathwork, experienced Sacred Cenote Psilocybin Ceremonies with Elina Vincent, Bufo & Kambo ceremonies, Ketamine Assisted Therapy and completed a Medicine Facilitator training with Icelandic ceremony facilitator Júlía Óttarsdóttir. I completed trainings with The Third Wave, Psychedelics Today and Integrative Psychiatry Institute.

In 2022, I became a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I began exploring Transpersonal & Existential Therapy, and other integrative wellness modalities in Tulum and began facilitating psychedelic assisted therapies. This lead me to begin training in Sound Healing enriching the tools I bring into the therapeutic space. I went back to Guatemala to continue sitting with Ayahuasca with The Forest Path, studying sound and deepening my Customer Journey skills in partnership with Amate Atitlan.

In 2024, I began a practice rooted in Shaping the Future of Love, while solo traveling through the breathtaking nature of Slovenia & Croatia, crying tears of spiritual rapture at the Vatican in Rome, wandering the streets of Venice and the Biennale, connecting with my Dutch roots in Amsterdam, exploring the sights of Paris, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and ending at the Arc de Triomphe before returning to the United States to the North Shore of Chicago. I stared a Newsletter, Love Futurism, wrote a book called The Happy Marriage, founded Aligned Newlyweds, became a Wedding Officiant and devoted my practice to one clear mission: Helping couples build strong, aligned, resilient, happy marriages.
